About | Papier

Created by the AGAC in 2007, Papier is the most prestigious art fair in Quebec. The event is a major driving force in the Canadian contemporary art market and a privileged space for exchanges and encounters for the general public, art lovers as well as professionals from the visual arts community.

Papier 2020 will once again take place at the Grand Quai du Port de Montréal, giving visitors the opportunity to discover a wide range of contemporary art practices.

“One thing is certain, once again this year Papier will project me into this unique space where I will experience the result of hours of reflections, impulses, questioning, desire and expression stemming from the work of artists with whom I will be able to connect at this precise moment, without the involvement of words.

Are you one of those I have yet to convince, or are you one of those who, like me, have seen the constant evolution over the years of this celebration of our contemporary artists? You are likely to discover an annual event that you will never want to miss again!”

Karine Vanasse
Actress and Papier spokesperson

“For four years now, I have had the pleasure of being involved as a spokesperson for Papier. I am very fortunate to share once again this inspiring event with the public and the artistic community. This collaboration between my foundation and the fair makes me very proud.”

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif
Professional football player and spokesperson for Papier

“It is a great pleasure for me to serve again as the honorary president of the Papier Art Fair. This annual event has earned a reputation among novice and experienced collectors alike as an open window to contemporary art in a relaxed setting.

As a partner of the Papier Art Fair for a ninth year, National Bank takes pride in promoting our culture and supporting the advancement of contemporary art. Get ready to discover or rediscover the largest contemporary art fair in Quebec!”
