2022

From August 25 to 28, 2022

Grand Quay of the Port of Montreal

The Association des galeries d'art contemporain (AGAC) is proud of the success of the 15th edition of the Salon Papier. The elegance of the Grand Quai in the summer light charmed the visitors who were able to enjoy an airy layout and a huge terrace offering a spectacular view of the city and the river.

These new dates, while appreciated, represented a challenge for the organizer. In this context, the AGAC is pleased to have welcomed more than 8,000 visitors, who were able to discover, admire and acquire the works presented by 39 Canadian galleries. In addition to these numbers, 20,000 individual visitors experienced the virtual fair on papiermontreal.com from August 19 to 28, a number that continues to grow as the virtual fair continues until September 11, 2022.

Faced with a global health crisis, the Association of Contemporary Art Galleries (AGAC) demonstrated its adaptability during the development of the 2020 edition of its contemporary art fair Papier. Postponed and then canceled in its version presented at the Grand Quay of the Port of Montreal in 2019, the Papier 2020 fair took place entirely virtually from June 4 to 21 2020 via a brand new web platform. The 2020 edition of Papier brought together 44 Canadian contemporary art galleries and attracted some 18,000 Online visitors thanks to its attractive digital tools.

2019

April 26-28, 2019

At Grand Quay of the Port of Montreal

From April 26 to 28, 2019, the Papier contemporary art fair hosted 46 major Canadian galleries in an exceptional new location. Located near downtown, the Grand Quay of the Port of Montreal allowed the fair to welcome the largest number of exhibitors gathered by the event to date. For the very first time, the Papier fair presented other mediums than works on paper, giving visitors the opportunity to discover and appreciate a wide range of artistic practices in contemporary art. During this edition, Vanessa Pilon and Laurent Duvernay-Tardif resumed their role as spokespersons, while Karine Vanasse took on the role of Ambassador of Papier 2019.
